The Secret Recipe Revealed

The Bus biscuits are based on the recipe I used to use with my students when I was teaching, for their Christmas biscuits, that can easily be adapted to suit any occasion. They are a blend of buttery goodness, a hint of sweetness, and a touch of nostalgia making these biscuits an irresistible delight.

The recipe is simple, quick to make and can easily be adapted with different shapes, flavours, textures and can be decorated for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 100g/3½oz unsalted or salted butter, softened at room temperature

  • 100g/3½oz caster sugar

  • 1 free-range egg, lightly beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or cinnamon, lemon/orange zest etc

  • 275g/10oz plain flour (for chocolate replace 25g of the flour with cocoa powder

If you want to make these biscuits at home with your kids you can also decorate with the following toppings:

So, pack your bags, set off on a journey of discovery, and indulge in the simple pleasures that make life truly special.

Happy glamping and happy indulging! 🍪🚌
